Automatic Transmission/Manual Transmission

According to the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association, 90% of automatic transmission failures are caused by overheating and can be often blamed on the transmission fluid that should have been replaced. Transmission Fluid Exchange/Flush is normally done every 60,000 miles and is what mostly all manufactures recommend.

Other Transmission Related Services: Transmission filter & gasket, Torque converter, Conductor plate, Valve body, Shift Solenoid, Linear solenoid, Output speed sensor, Input speed sensor, Vehicle speed sensor and more!

Exhaust System

The exhaust system a plumbing of metal piping but with  unique components placed in certain locations.   The most important part of the exhaust system is the catalytic converter made up of precious metals such as rhodium, platinum, and palladium. The catalytic converter is there for to reduce pollutants to the air we breathe and at the very back of the car is the muffler, see it as a silencer which kills just about all the noise a combustion engine makes.

Other Related Exhaust Services:

Exhaust manifold, Exhaust gaskets, Resonator, Catalytic converter, Muffler and tailpipes, Welding, and Exhaust Fabrication.

Are you experiencing brake noise when applying the brakes? Or maybe brake pulsation caused by warped brake rotors felt through out the steering wheel when brake pedal is depressed? We do a thorough brake inspection and test drive your vehicle so you can be at ease and know that your brakes are working efficiently.

Other Brake Related Services:

Master Brake Cylinder, ABS Control Module, ABS sensor, Brake Flush, Brake Hose, Brake Fluid Reservoir, Brake Light, Parking brakes,  Brake Caliper Assembly, Brake Proportioning Valve, Brake Combination Valve and Brake Line Fabrication.

Heating & Air Conditioning

Driving a vehicle to a destination without the heating or air conditioning can be some what miserable or uncomfortable. We take for granted the heat that keeps us warm in the winter months, and the cool air that refreshes us in the summer time. Now a days A/C compressors are designed differently compared to when they use to cycle on and off. Good understanding and knowledge is needed to properly diagnose the new modern systems.

Other A/C related Services:

A/C compressor, Evaporator core, Receiver & Drier, A/C Condensor, A/C Suction line, A/C
Pressure line, Expansion Valve and Orifice tube.

Computer Diagnostic

A blinking check engine light is caused by a severe misfiring of the engine. This would allow unburned fuel "hydrocarbons" to enter into the exhaust system and raising the temperature of your catalytic converter to the breaking point. A steady light on is not an emergency situation and recommend a appointment to have it checked out when ever possible. At Premier Auto we have Top of the line Diagnostic Equipment and Diagnostic computers to diagnose even some of the toughest jobs that some techs would decline to work on.

One of the most important Maintenance that I personally consider important and needs to be done on time is the oil change and transmission flush. Seeing engines reach 250,000 to 300,000 miles with proper maintenance is not unusual. Regular oil change should be done every 3,000 miles and synthetic oil change should be done every 5,000 miles. Dealerships and manufactures will recommend it be done at a higher interval but the engine will be more prone to sludge buildup which will damage your engine.

Other Maintenance Related Services:

Sparkplugs, Cabin Air Filter, Engine Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Fuel Induction Service, PCV Valve, Engine Oil Filer and Oil Change.

Diesel Engine

Diesel Engines can run for a long time and have a longer life span then a gasoline engine. But regular maintenance is absolutely imperative if you want a diesel engine to last.

Other Diesel Related Services:

Diesel Engine diagnostic, High pressure oil pump, Dummie plugs, Standpipes, Fuel pump, ICP, IPR, Glow plugs, Glow plug module, Not start hard start trouble shooting and Fuel injector.

Safety Restraint System

The safety restraint system to some the most important feature of a car and it's not until we have been in a accident we realize it to be true. A few years back cars did not have side airbags, rear pillar airbags nor did they have airbags on the side of the seats to cushion a side impact. More airbags means more wiring, more impact sensors and modules. We service cars and trucks even with the most advance safety restraint system.

Drive Line Service

The vehicles engine connects to the transmission at a place called the bell housing.  After the transmission we have a transfercase  which now is considered part of the driveline system and are found on 4x4 and AWD vehicles. After the transfercase theres a drive shaft, at each end of the drive shaft there is a U-joint that swivels to allow suspension travel and reduce stress on the drive shaft, after the drive shaft we have the differential that puts the wheels into motion. The differential oil is one of the most-overlooked maintenance and is recommended by most manufacture to be serviced every 50,000 miles.

Other Driveline Related Services:

Front differential service, transfercase service, rear differential service, U-joints, drive shaft, cv axles, center support bearing.

Starting & Charging

The Charging system on a vehicle has not change much in over four decades.

The purpose of the charging system is to maintain the charge in the vehicle's battery, and to provide the main source of electrical energy while the engine is running. If the charging system stopped working the battery's charge would be depleted within 30 to 40 minutes, leaving the car with a dead battery. The starter depends on a healthy charged battery to get the engine turning fast enough to start and all the electrical systems involved.

Other Starting and Charger Services:

Battery Cable, Battery Terminals, Alternator, Starter.

Steering & Suspension

Steering and suspension components on a vehicle has  many pivoting points, especially on the front end since the wheels have to turn, to reduce road feel rubber bushings are added to the complete steering and suspension system. The front end is always subject to more wear and tear then the rear end.  Worn out steering and suspension components can cause increased and premature tire wear, shifts in alignment, knocking, shimy voibration or a feel on the front end as if something is coming loose but could be something as simple as worn out swaybar links or worn out bushings.

Other related Steering & Suspension services:

Upper control arm, Lower control arm, struts, shocks, swaybar links, swaybar bushings, Airbags, steering gear, rack&pinion, powersteering pump, steering lines & hoses.
